class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>ODONTO CAD\/CAM es un grupo de investigaci\u00f3n de la Facultad de Odontolog\u00eda de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid dedicado al an\u00e1lisis cient\u00edfico de materiales, procedimientos y tecnolog\u00edas aplicados a la odontolog\u00eda restauradora y a la implantopr\u00f3tesis. El grupo fue constituido formalmente como grupo UCM en 2013, su director es el catedr\u00e1tico de Universidad Profesor Guillermo Prad\u00edes y en el mismo participan m\u00e1s de 15 miembros de distintos niveles e instituciones nacionales e internacionales de alto prestigio investigador. Su trayectoria parti\u00f3 del estudio de los biomateriales de restauraci\u00f3n prot\u00e9sica y fue evolucionando hacia todo tipo de tecnolog\u00eda CAD\/CAM desde la instauraci\u00f3n de los esc\u00e1neres intraorales hasta la creaci\u00f3n del paciente virtual, la inteligencia artificial (IA) y en la actualidad la rob\u00f3tica.<\/p><p>Su actividad parte de una idea sencilla: la innovaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica solo adquiere verdadero valor cl\u00ednico cuando su precisi\u00f3n, sus limitaciones y su impacto sobre el tratamiento han sido evaluados con metodolog\u00eda cient\u00edfica. El estudio inicial de los biomateriales y de la precisi\u00f3n de las restauraciones condujo a analizar c\u00f3mo los nuevos procesos CAD\/CAM modificaban su dise\u00f1o y fabricaci\u00f3n. La digitalizaci\u00f3n permiti\u00f3 integrar nuevas fuentes de informaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y desarrollar flujos de trabajo completamente digitales. En implantopr\u00f3tesis, estos avances se trasladaron a la planificaci\u00f3n prot\u00e9sicamente guiada, la cirug\u00eda guiada y la navegaci\u00f3n. La incorporaci\u00f3n de inteligencia artificial y rob\u00f3tica representa la fase actual de esta misma evoluci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>El resultado es un programa investigador traslacional en el que laboratorio, cl\u00ednica, ingenier\u00eda y formaci\u00f3n avanzada se relacionan de forma permanente. Cada una de las l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n desarrollada por el grupo ha dado lugar a proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n con los principales l\u00edderes de la industria odontol\u00f3gica. Ha generado m\u00e1s de 80 publicaciones de alto \u00edndice de impacto, patentes, 40 tesis doctorales y m\u00e1s de 50 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n con la industria Inteligencia artificial, fabricaci\u00f3n avanzada y rob\u00f3tica plantean nuevas oportunidades, pero tambi\u00e9n nuevas preguntas cient\u00edficas. El objetivo del Grupo ODONTO CAD\/CAM UCM seguir\u00e1 siendo el mismo: generar la evidencia necesaria para convertir la innovaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica en tratamientos m\u00e1s precisos, predecibles y cl\u00ednicamente \u00fatiles.
